Vice President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Qadir Qiafeh has said the ICCIMA plans to launch “investment and trade promotion agencies” in target countries.

In a meeting in Tehran on Wednesday with Iran’s newly-appointed ambassador to France Mohammad Aminnejad, Qiafeh said that the investment agencies would help expand Iran’s export markets.

Referring to Iran’s $366 billion GDP, he said that the country’s 70-million-dollar trade with France is very insignificant.

Qiafeh also highlighted Iran’s potentials in different food, steel, electricity, and mining potentials, urging the need for Iranian ambassadors to establish direct relations with Iran Chamber of Commerce.

The new ambassador, for his part, said that interaction and cooperation with Iran Chamber of Commerce is among the top priorities of the Iranian embassy in France.

Aminnejad also referred to the willingness of Iranian industries for importing machineries from France and the determination of the Iranian private sector to expand relations with other nations, pledging that the embassy will do its best in this regard.

He voiced the readiness of the embassy to assist the Iranian private sector actors who intend to trade with Europe.
