Managing General of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Majid Chegini has said that Iran currently has no plans to export gas to Europe.
Chegini told ISNA news agency on Tuesday that the country is focused on the fulfillment of its present international commitments and in case other contracts are signed, exports will increase.
Noting that Iran’s gas export contract with Iraq has been extended for another five years, the official added that negotiations are also underway for extension of gas exports to Turkey.
He said that Armenia has demanded for receiving more gas from Iran while Pakistan has also announced it aims to revive a gas contract with Iran.
