A report by the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO) indicated that Iran has exchanged as much as $25.2 billion worth of goods with different world countries over the first two months of the current calendar year (March 20 – May 20).
The TPO report also said that Iran’s exports, including the exports of oil products and techno-engineering services, accounted for some $16.2 billion of the sum.
Iran exported an aggregate of 23.5 metric tons worth $8 billion of non-oil exports in the period under study, marking a 3.8% rise in terms of value and an 8.5% increase in terms of tonnage compared to figures reported in last year’s corresponding period.
The report also showed that the country’s imports stood at $9.08 billion in the timespan.
China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey and Pakistan were the top five destinations for Iranian products in the two-month period.
Liquefied propane, liquefied natural gas and methanol were the three key items exported from Iran.
