Iran-Turkey trade hits $2.2 billion in three months

The volume of trade between Iran and Turkey exceeded $2.2 billion in the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year (March 21 – June 21, 2025), according to a report by Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO).

The volume of trade between Iran and Turkey exceeded $2.2 billion in the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year (March 21 – June 21, 2025), according to a report by Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO).

The report, released on Monday, stated that Turkey accounted for 11.9% of Iran’s total trade during the period, making it the country’s third-largest trading partner after the United Arab Emirates and China.

Turkey was the fourth-largest destination for Iranian exports, with natural gas, metals, and polymer products among the main items shipped. Iran exported approximately 1.523 million tons of goods worth $607 million to its neighbor during the period.

Meanwhile, Turkey ranked as the third-largest source of imports into Iran, sending around 1.607 million tons of goods valued at $1.985 billion.
