President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh has stressed the need for an active role of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to help solve the regional and international problems caused by different crises across the world.
Addressing the ICC annual summit in Paris, Hassanzadeh hailed the significance of ICC as the leading private sector body in the world, noting that “we, as the members of this fundamental body, have to devise mechanisms to strengthen commercial cooperation and focus on facilitating trade among the members.”
He referred to the destructive impacts of sanctions as well as the increasing number of refugees arising from international crises, adding that the ICC is required to address these issues and play a more active role in solving the problems.
Hassanzadeh also voiced the readiness of Iran Chamber of Commerce and ICC Iran to contribute to the measures taken by the ICC to give a boost to commercial relations among member chambers of commerce.
Mohammad Khazaei, the Director General of ICC Iran, also addressed the meeting and proposed the formation of a working group to bolster the relations among the chambers of commerce.
He urged the need for addressing the problems on the way of banking transactions and finance in extra-territorial trade.
