President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh has said that continued problems on the way of Iran’s money transfer may cause the country to lose the Iraqi market within the next few months.

“Due to the inability to use the banking system, the price of our export products is about 20-25% more expensive,” Hassanzadeh said while addressing an ICCIMA council where the heads of joint chambers of commerce convened on Monday.

He highlighted the role of the joint chambers of commerce which he said are playing a key part in expansion of exports and trade relations with foreign nations in one of the gravest situations of the country.

The joint chambers of commerce have developed good relations so that they have been able to help solve some problems on the way of businesspeople, including those hindering the issuance of visa, Hassanzadeh said.

He added that with the election of Iran’s new president and his willingness for developing more relations with the private sector, the time is ripe for further cooperation of Iran Chamber of Commerce and the joint chambers of commerce with the government.
