Iran’s four-month oil sales hit $15.7 billion

Iran exported $15.7 billion of oil overseas in the first four months of the current calendar year (March 21 to July 22, 2024), the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said.

Iran exported $15.7 billion of oil overseas in the first four months of the current calendar year (March 21 to July 22, 2024), the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said.

Mohammad Rezvanifar said Iran’s registered a $14 billion of trade surplus in this period with its oil sales included.

The IRICA chief noted that $18.5 billion of products were imported into the country between March 21 and July 22, 2024, showing a six percent decline compared to last year’s corresponding period.

He further pointed out that the export of non-oil products registered an eight percent growth in this period compared to the same period last year.

The IRICA chief put the country’s balance of trade with oil excluded at -$1 billion.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rezvanifar noted that $800 million of gold ingots were imported into the country in the period under review.

Regarding the export of petrochemicals, Rezvanifar added that $7.7 billion of petrochemicals were exported from the country in this period.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, Turkey, Germany and India were the main countries importing Iranian products in the first four months of this year, he added.
