Qazvin Chamber of Commerce, a local chamber of commerce in northern Iran has opened an office in Erbil, Iraq.
The opening of the office comes as an exhibition of export potentials of Qazvin Province is underway in the Iraqi city.
Mehdi Abdian, the chairman of Qazvin Chamber of Commerce, said on Monday that the office had been operating since two months ago but its official opening his taking place simultaneous with the exhibition in Erbil.
He said that the launch of the office could facilitate more increased exchanges between Qazvin Chamber of Commerce and the cities of Halabja, Duhok, Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Kirkuk.
Addressing the opening ceremony of an exhibition of Qazvin export potentials in Erbil two days ago, Vice-President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Payam Bagheri said that Iran and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region have the potentials of increasing their economic exchanges by several times.
Noting that the Iraqi Kurdistan region is a competitive market, he urged the Iranian economic actors to export high-quality products to the region with competitive prices.
