President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh has said that lack of information about the economic potentials of Iran and Burkina Faso are impeding further expansion of bilateral trade between the two countries.

Speaking during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday with Burkina Faso's Ambassador to Iran Mohammadi Kaboureh, Hassanzadeh called for more cooperation between Iran Chamber of Commerce and the embassies of the two countries to help remove this lack of information.

He also voiced Iran’s readiness to host a trade delegation from Burkina Faso to get familiar with Iran’s economic potentials.

Hassanzadeh also referred to Iran’s potentials in producing high quality medicines and pharmaceutical equipment which he said are not subject to sanctions and provide a good ground for promotion of bilateral cooperation.

He added that the Iran Chamber of Commerce stands ready for any kind of cooperation with the embassies of the two countries to introduce the potentials for bilateral cooperation.

The Burkinabe ambassador, for his part, said that the chambers of commerce of Iran and Burkina Faso have to enhance their relations in the light of good political relations between the two countries.

The ambassador stressed that the embassy would do its best to transfer Iran’s trade information to the Burkinabe sides and introduce the investment opportunities of Burkina Faso to the Iranian businesspeople.
