The 16th Exhibition of Iran's Investment Opportunities and 11th International Exhibition on Exchange, Banking, Insurance and Privatization, known as Kish Invex 2024, opened on the country’s southern Kish Island on Monday.

The exhibition aims to introduce innovative financing methods, showcase investment prospects, and foster collaboration between business owners and financial sector leaders in Iran.

Economists, university professors, capital market officials, and members of parliament addressed various aspects of the country’s economic and capital market landscape during the opening ceremony.

Kish Invex 2024 provides a platform for interaction between financial resource providers, insurance companies, and economic stakeholders, creating opportunities for synergy and cohesion among major economic players.

The Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) also joined the event, facilitating regional chambers, joint chambers, and specialized commissions to present their strengths, services, and financial capabilities. The ICCIMA seeks to ensure that the economic operator can engage with recent advancements in the banking, capital, and insurance sectors within this collaborative setting.

Addressing the inauguration, ICCIMA Vice President Qadir Qiafeh commented on the nation’s economic challenges, citing poor decision-making as a contributing factor to current struggles. He remarked that the capital market, too, is facing pressures from restrictive policies.

He highlighted regulatory instability as the "Achilles' heel" of Iran's capital market, emphasizing, "We must eventually put an end to this flawed approach."
