The value of Iran’s non-oil exports has registered an increase of 14.7% in the seven calendar months to late October, according to a recent report by the country’s customs administration (IRICA).
The IRICA report said that Iran exported as much as 88,701 tons of goods valued at $32.5 billion in the period under review, marking an 11.48% growth in terms of tonnage and a 14.7% increase in value terms.
Iran’s total non-oil foreign trade stood at $72 billion in this timespan, with some $39.9 billion of which being the country’s imports, according to the report.
China was Iran’s main export market in the seven-month period, followed by Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and Afghanistan.
The UAE, China, Turkey, Germany and Russia were the top five sources of Iranian imports respectively.
