The Armenian parliament has ratified the free trade agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), according to Armenia’s state Armenpress news agency.
95 Armenian lawmakers voted in favor of the bill in a voting on Friday.
A long-awaited free trade agreement was signed between Iran and the EAEU on December 25, 2023.
The FTA has yet to be ratified by the parliaments of all the six parties to the agreement before it can take effect.
The agreement has been ratified by the Russian State Duma earlier in June.
