President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, Samad Hassanzadeh, has expressed the Chamber's willingness to play an active role in operationalizing a newly-signed comprehensive strategic agreement between Iran and Russia.
In a letter addressed to President Masoud Pezeshkian, Hassanzadeh praised the president's pragmatic and dignified stance during his recent regional tour of Tajikistan and Russia.
Hassanzadeh emphasized the Chamber's readiness to provide both consultative and executive capacities to help design and implement mechanisms for the agreement’s execution. He highlighted the crucial role the private sector can play alongside the government in boosting public trust and making diplomatic efforts more effective.
He further acknowledged the government's commitment to the private sector, which was evident during the participation of business representatives and Chamber members in Pezeshkian’s high-level delegation to Tajikistan.
The belief in the efficacy of the private sector and the principle of a people-centered economy, as emphasized by the Supreme Leader, has been central to these engagements, Hassanzadeh noted.
He also hailed the implementation of visa exemptions for Iranian and Tajik citizens traveling to both nations, adding that these steps mark significant progress towards strengthening Iran-Tajikistan relations and enhancing Iran's position as a key trade partner in the region.
