Iran Chamber of Commerce expresses sympathy, offers support after Shahid Rajaee Port explosion

The president and board of directors of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture expressed condolences to the Iranian nation and the people of Hormuzgan province following a deadly explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port, one of the country’s key economic hubs.

The president and board of directors of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture expressed condolences to the Iranian nation and the people of Hormuzgan province following a deadly explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port, one of the country's key economic hubs.

In a statement released on Monday, the Chamber conveyed sympathy to the victims and underlined the strategic importance of Shahid Rajaee Port as a major center for Iran’s trade and economic activity.

The Chamber also announced its readiness to assist authorities in rebuilding and restoring the port’s operations as swiftly as possible, pledging to work alongside government officials to ensure a return to stable and sustainable conditions.

At least 46 people were killed, and more than 1,000 were injured in the major blast that rocked Shahid Rajaee Port on Saturday. The cause of the explosion remains unknown and is currently under investigation.

Shahid Rajaee Port, located near southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas, handles a significant share of Iran’s imports and exports and plays a critical role in the country's maritime trade network.
