The President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture has presented a proposal aimed at deepening economic ties with Oman, during a trade opportunities forum held in Muscat.
Speaking at the event, Samad Hassanzadeh emphasized the untapped potential between the two countries and outlined a strategy to build stable and long-term economic relations. He highlighted joint investment projects as a key path forward.
Hassanzadeh, who led an Iranian trade delegation to Oman simultaneous with a presidential visit to the neighboring Arab country, noted that the participation of business leaders from both nations reflected the strong interest of the private sectors in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
He said enhancing economic ties with neighboring countries remains a strategic priority for Iran, and that Iranian companies are eager to collaborate with Omani counterparts.

According to Hassanzadeh, annual trade between Iran and Oman has exceeded $2 billion in recent years, with considerable room for further growth. He invited Omani investors to explore opportunities across various sectors, including oil, gas, petrochemicals, renewable energy, water projects, power plant construction, transportation, mining, agriculture, automotive, information technology, tourism, and hospitality.
He also singled out health tourism as a promising area for collaboration, stating that Iran’s private sector is ready to provide services to Omani health tourists. Approximately four million tourists from Arab countries visit Iran annually, with around one million seeking medical treatment.
Hassanzadeh further identified clean energy and water infrastructure—such as wind and solar power plants, as well as wastewater systems—as sectors ripe for cooperation, where Iranian firms could contribute their expertise.
He concluded by expressing Iran’s readiness to assist Oman in modernizing infrastructure and industrial sectors, offering technical and engineering services in areas such as road construction, rail networks, and dam building.
