President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed his gratitude to the country’s private sector for its “responsible and effective” support during the recent period of heightened tensions, according to a message conveyed by his special representative.
Alireza Rashidian, the President’s special envoy and head of the national task force against smuggling, delivered Pezeshkian’s message during a meeting with top business leaders including Samad Hassanzadeh, president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Qassem Nodeh Farahani, head of the Chamber of Guilds, and Sassan Shah-Veisi, secretary general of Iran Chamber of Commerce.
“In the face of hostile aggression against the Iranian nation, the private sector stood firmly alongside the government, people, and armed forces, ensuring that citizens felt neither shortage nor anxiety,” Rashidian said. He praised the coordinated role played by manufacturers, distributors, cooperatives, and transport and service sector operators, describing it as a model of national unity.
Samad Hassanzadeh said that from the earliest days of the escalation, Iran’s chambers of commerce, guilds, and cooperatives had worked to maintain production and the supply of essential goods through expert recommendations and close coordination.
“The strong presence of the private sector, especially the guilds, in serving the public during these times is a clear example of national responsibility,” he said.
