Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture is drafting a foreign trade program that will set the body’s priorities once approved by its board, the chamber’s vice president, Qadir Qiafeh, said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a meeting of joint chamber heads, Qiafeh said the plan aims to better coordinate with joint chambers and support their activities. “Joint chambers are the arms of the chamber and Iran’s private sector outside the country,” he said, adding that regular monthly councils involving joint chambers could help address issues more precisely.
Qiafeh stressed the role of joint chambers in expanding trade, noting their responsibility to facilitate business matchmaking between Iranian producers and foreign buyers.
