Iran Chamber of Commerce has delivered a humanitarian aid shipment to victims of Tropical Storm Melissa in eastern Cuba.
During a ceremony held at the provincial government headquarters in Santiago de Cuba, Iran’s ambassador to Cuba, Zabihollah Naderi, formally handed over the donation from the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture to the provincial governor.
Naderi and provincial officials also discussed the current situation in the affected region, the damage caused by the storm and measures taken by the Cuban government to address its impact.
During his recent trip to Cuba Samad Hassanzadeh, the president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, offered eight tons of food supplies to the storm- hit people in the country as a gesture of solidarity with the affected communities.
