Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Reza Salehi Amiri, has stated the government's definitive policy is to keep the "shadow of taxation away from the field of tourism."
Speaking at the 114th meeting of the Government-Private Sector Dialogue Council of Yazd Province in central Iran, the minister affirmed his ministry's role as a defender of the sector's rights.
He also highlighted strategic priorities, naming the "golden triangle" of Shiraz, Isfahan, and Yazd as Iran's essential tourism hub and stressing the need for reliable transport links.
Salehi Amiri added that hotels have recently received an 80 percent exemption on gas tariffs.
