Non-Oil Export Development Commission of Iran Chamber of Commerce has held a meeting focusing on evaluating the country’s foreign trade situation and challenges facing exporters, with members detailing their problems and proposing solutions to facilitate operations.
The commission session brought together members alongside representatives from specialized trade bodies, customs authorities, and the central bank to examine foreign trade challenges under the specific conditions of war and sanctions.
Key discussion points included difficulties arising from forex obligations, sudden export bans, disruptions to logistics routes, and the need for policy shifts to ease exports.
At the outset of the meeting, Sadreddin Niavarani, Vice Chairman of the commission, pointed to developments in the south of the country and the US maritime blockade, saying Iran has made the necessary planning to secure needs via alternative routes.
He called on the business operators not neglect the capacity of provincial governors, to whom the president has delegated authority.
