Iran Chamber of Commerce will officially open an 11-storey building in Damascus Free Zone that is set to house Iranian businesses taking part in Syria’s reconstruction.
A high-level delegation from Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), headed by its president Gholam Hossein Shafei visited the building in the Syrian capital on Monday.
Three floors of the building are ready to be leased to the offices and the rest can be finished by any business that wants to be house there.
The building is located inside the Damascus Free Zone which is only one kilometer away from the city centre.
“Nearly all big Syrian and foreign businesses have offices in this region and we bought this building on the purpose because it’s situated at the economic heart of Damascus,” Keyvan Kashefi, Head of Iran-Syria Joint Economic Committee at the ICCIMA told Iran Chamber Newsroom.
“We hope this will develop our economic relations with Syria,” added Kashefi.
