A 20-member German trade delegation dispatched by the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate attended a meeting in Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) on Sunday to negotiate with the Iranian counterparts.
Headed by a director general with the Ministry of Economy, Transport and Agriculture of Rhineland-Palatinate, representatives of several renowned companies from this state expressed their readiness to develop their cooperation with Iranian private sector in various areas, including oil, gas, petrochemicals and chemicals industry, cables, fire equipment, aviation and agriculture.
As for the Iranian side, Abolfazl Rahnama, a director in Foreign Affairs Department of ICCIMA, mentioned great potential for cooperation between the two sides and said in the past year Iran hosted a German delegation almost every month.
“The country’s need for modernized irrigation systems could be another potential area for cooperation,” he added.
