A delegation of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture will accompany Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a visit to Pakistan from March 11 to 14.
A business forum as well as a set of bilateral meetings have been planned during the visit of the Iranian mission to Islamabad and Karachi. ICCIMA’s news portal has called on interested economic players from the Iranian private sector to register with the chamber, ahead of the visits.
Last Iranian year’s (March 2016-17) data show Iran exported more than $795 million and imported around $365 million worth of commodities to and from Pakistan.
According to Iran’s commercial attaché to Pakistan, Morad Nemati Zargaran, Iran’s trade with Pakistan during the nine months to Dec. 21, 2017, amounted to $982 million, registering an increase of 49% compared with the previous year’s corresponding period. Pakistan’s exports to Iran totaled $348 million, registering a 42% rise YOY.
