Iran traded 1.63 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $676.78 million with Indonesia during the first nine months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Dec. 21), registering a 5.12% and 13.1% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year's corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Iran’s exports to Indonesia stood at 1.5 million tons worth $562.56 million, up 19.24% and 45.78% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year, Financial Tribune reports.
Indonesia was Iran’s 11th export destination during the period.
Iran mainly exported non-alloy semi-finished iron/steel products, non-alloy iron/steel ingots, liquefied propane, liquefied butane and bitumen to the Asian country during the nine-month period.
Meanwhile, Indonesia exported 127,611 tons of goods worth $114.21 million to Iran, down 56.2% and 46.24% in tonnage and value respectively YOY.
Indonesia was the 26th exporter of goods to Iran over the nine months.
The imports mainly included paperboard, aluminum oxide, medium density fibers and coconut.
