A trade delegation from Kazakhstan, led by the country’s deputy minister of trade and integration, is scheduled to pay a visit to Iran on October 11-14.
During a Sunday meeting in Tehran between Mohammad Reza Karbasi, the deputy for International Affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA), and Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Iran Askhat Orazbay, the two sides made the necessary cooperation for the upcoming visit to Tehran by the Kazakh trade delegation.
A B2B meeting was decided to be held between the economic activists of the two countries on Monday, October 11, in Iran Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking during the meeting, Karbasi referred to different grounds for cooperation between the two countries and said that trade cooperation with Kazakhstan is one of the main agendas of Iran.
He noted that the two countries can cooperate on technical services, engineering, health tourism, and livestock.
Karbasi called for easing visa requirements for Iranian traders so as to pave the way for further trade relations.
The visit to Iran by the Kazakh delegation is aimed to revive trade relations between Iran and Kazakhstan after the level of relations reduced due to the global outbreak of COVID-19.
A special seminar was also held in Tehran on the same day to examine the trade opportunities of Kazakhstan.
Speaking during the meeting, Hassan Valibeigi, an advisor to Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Chamber of Commerce, said it would not be easy for Iran to make its way into Kazakhstan’s market.
He said that Iran would have a difficult job for entering the market of Kazakhstan as Russia, China and South Korea meet 35, 17 and 13 percent of the country’s import needs respectively.
