Iran’s Pedram Soltali reelected CACCI vice-president

Pedram Soltani was reelected vice-president of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) on Wednesday.

Pedram Soltani was reelected vice-president of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) on Wednesday.

During the 93rd and 94th sessions of the confederation’s council, Soltani was elected for another one-year term.

Soltani, who is now the chairman of Iran-Austria Joint Chamber of Commerce, used to serve as the vice-president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA).

Speaking during the council meeting, Soltani called for further unity of member chambers within the framework of CACCI.    

He also underlined the need for preparing the ground for admission of more chambers to the confederation and also urged further interaction between CACCI and ministers of industry and foreign trade of member countries.   

Determining the roadmap, reviewing the reports of the Strategic Council and the Budget Commission, reactivating the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Asia Pacific (YEGAP), and establishing the CACCI Planning Committee were among the other issues discussed at the meeting.

A committees of representatives from the Iranian, Australian, and Philippine chambers were also tasked with reviewing and revising the CACCI2022 program.

The 35th CACCI conference is scheduled to be virtually held on November 2.

The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry is a regional association principally composed of the national chambers or associations of commerce and industry in Asia and the Western Pacific.
