Hossein Salimi, a member of the board of representatives of Iran Chamber of Commerce, said that the Iranian cabinet has to allocate a seat to the Chamber of Commerce as the representative of Iran private sector.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Iran Chamber newsroom, Salimi said that the Iran Chamber president has to be present in all the cabinet sessions.

Noting that the chambers of other countries have a seat in the cabinet, he said that the Turkish Chamber of Commerce has a representative both in the country’s parliament and the cabinet.

Hossein Salimi who is also the chairman of Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce said that Iran Chamber of Commerce should be allocated a seat in the cabinet not with the right to vote but as a consultant.

It seems that the Iranian government under President Ebrahim Raeisi wants to interact with the private sector and not make decisions without it, he added.
