ICC Iran has expressed readiness to participate in Agri-Food Hubs Projects of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
ICC Iran is reportedly going to cooperate with the Agricultural Commission of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) to contribute to the project.
The International Chamber of Commerce aims to establish several agri-food hubs to create an international network.
Some 10 countries, including Iran, have so far voiced their readiness to participate in the plan.
Participation in the plan would be a step forward to pave the way for Iran’s presence in the international arena, introducing the country’s agricultural capacities to the world, as well as rendering and receiving services from other companies and institutions present in the plan.
During a meeting with members of ICCIMA Agricultural Commission, Secretary of ICC Iran Mohammad Khazaei called for further partnership of the Commission for taking the necessary measures for Iran’s participation in the ICC project.
He said that ICC is due to hold a webinar on November 29 in which the national committees will offer their methods for implementing the project.
Each committee is expected to introduce 5 institutions and 30 companies active in the area of agriculture and food industries which will get familiar with each other and receive services from one another within the framework of ICC Agri-Food Hubs Project, Khazaei said.
He noted that the ICC project can provide a chance for Iran to gain access to international markets.
