Iranian Ambassador in Brazilia Hossein Qaribi said on Tuesday that Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce has opened an office in Sau Paulo to represent Iran’s private sector in the Latin American country.

Referring to the capacity for further enhancement of trade between Iran and Brazil, the ambassador urged the need for further joint investments by the two countries.

Also, Chairman of Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce Fakhreddin Amerian said that reopening the chamber’s office in Sau Paulo aims to facilitate trade between businesspersons from both countries.

He said that the office in Brazil opens while there has been such an office in Iran for five years.

Amerian called on government officials from both sides to remove obstacles on the way of trade between the two countries.

Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) released a report in Mid-November on Iran’s trade with Latin American countries during the first seven months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Oct. 22).

The report said that Iran’s trade with Brazil stood at 906,886 tons worth $372.72 million during the mentioned period, for the Latin American country to top the list of Iran’s partners in the region.
