Latest data released by the Statistical Center of Iran show the pace of runaway inflation in Tehran’s housing market is easing.

Tehran’s housing Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending Nov. 21, which marks the end of the eighth Iranian month, increased by 51.8% compared with the corresponding period of last year. 

SCI had put the average annual inflation rate for the preceding Iranian month, which ended on Oct. 22, at 59.3%. 

The housing inflation for the month under review (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) registered a year-on-year increase of 20.2%.

A year-on-year inflation rate of 22.4% was registered in the previous fiscal month.

The housing CPI (using the Iranian month to April 19, 2016, as the base) stood at 774.8 for the month ending Nov. 21, indicating a 0.5% decrease. compared with the month before.

During the month ending Oct. 22, the housing CPI stood at 778.6, registering a 3.5% growth compared with the previous month.
