Iran’s auto making tops 760,000 cars in 10 months

Some 760,527 cars were produced by three main Iranian automakers – Iran Khodro, Saipa Group, and Pars Khodro – over the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar month (March 21, 2021 – January 20, 2022), according to latest official statistics.

Some 760,527 cars were produced by three main Iranian automakers – Iran Khodro, Saipa Group, and Pars Khodro – over the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar month (March 21, 2021 – January 20, 2022), according to latest official statistics.

The figure shows some 4.1% increase in comparison to statistics from last year’s corresponding period (730,477).    

Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) produced some 381,321 cars during the 10-month period to remain the country’s top automaker.

IKCO’s production in the mentioned period has fallen by 1.74% compared to figures from last year’s corresponding period.

Saipa Group, Iran’s second biggest automaker, also produced 238,588 cars in the period under study some 6.6% less than figures from the corresponding period of last year.

Iran’s other main automaker – Pars Khodro – also produced some 100,151 cars during the period. The figure showed a 24.1% increase when compared to figures from last year’s corresponding period.
