Iran’s industry minister set to tour UAE, Oman within a week

Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin is scheduled to pay visits to the United Arab Emirates and Oman early in February, according to an official familiar with the matter.

Farzad Piltan, the director of Arab-African Affairs of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), said that during his regional tour, the Iranian minister will be heading a big trade delegation of Iranian private sector activists.

He also noted that Fatemi Amin will be accompanied with TPO chief Alireza Peimanpak.

During his visit to UAE (on February 6-8), the minister is scheduled to visit Expo 2020 Dubai and have meetings with government officials and private sector activists of the country on different economic and trade areas.   

Fatemi Amin will reportedly leave the UAE for Oman on February 8 for a three-day visit.

During his Stay in Muscat, the Iranian minister will participate in a joint commission meeting of Iran and Oman.  

Fatemi Amin’s regional tour will take place in line with President Ebrahim Raeisi administration’s foreign policy to enhance relations with regional countries, the southern countries in particular.
