Shahla Amouri, the chairwoman of Ahvaz Chamber of Commerce in southwestern Iran, said on Tuesday that trade delegations from Syria, Oman and Iraq are going to visit Iran in the near future.
Amouri said that the visits to Iran aim to help business activists of the visiting countries get more familiar with the capacities of the Iranian economy.
The Iraqi delegation will arrive in Tehran within next month when they will visit different provinces of Kordestan, Zanjan, Charmahal-Bakhtiari and Khuzestan, she said.
Amouri added that a top-ranking delegation from Iraqi provinces of Basra, Karbala, Diwaniyah and Baghdad visited Iranian provinces of Qom, West Azarbaijan, Ardebil, and Khuzestan early this month.
“A number of trade agreements have been signed so far between economic activists of Iran and the members of this delegation which are considered as a proper ground for further prosperity of Iranian production unit,” she said.
The Iranian private sector has several times called for launching a transit corridor linking Iran and Syria via Iraqi soil.
