The volume of trade between Iran and Turkey grew by 37% in the first six months of 2022 compared to the corresponding period from 2021, according to a recent report released by Turkish Statistical Institute.
The report put Iran’s trade with Turkey in the mentioned period at $3.365 billion up from $2.448 billion in last year’s the same period.
It said that Iran’s exports to Turkey in the six-month period stood at $1.904 billion which show a 61% growth compared to last year’s $1.182 billion.
Turkey’s exports to Iran in the January-June period was also put at $1.461 up billion 15% from last year’s $1.266 billion.
According to the report, Iran’s trade surplus in the six-month trade with Turkey stood at $443 million.
Iran was Turkey’s 19th biggest export destination in June and the 18th biggest importer to the country, the report suggested.
