Iran has finished a pipeline laying project in the first platform of the South Pars gas field’s Phase 11 in southern country, according to Pars Oil and Gas Company.

The project which has begun on July 28, came to an end on August 12.

It includes a 32-inch pipeline which stretches under the seabed for 15 kilometers.

The pipeline, which carries gas from Platform 11B, joins a pipeline coming from Platform 12C in the midway.

The project will carry 28 mcm/d of gas from an offshore South Pars Phase 11 to an onshore refinery from Phase 12 in Kangan.

The map shows the location of Phase 11 of South Pas gas field in Persian Gulf waters in souther Iran.

Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji said last month in late June that the Phase 11 will start production in September.

He said that Iranian experts and engineers are developing the phase that is expected to produce 19 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Phase 11 is the last of the 24 phases of the giant gas field, which has not been developed yet.
