Tehran-Lar-Muscat flights have been scheduled to run as of Sept. 27, according to director general of Larestan International Airport, located in the southern Fars Province of Iran.
“Pars Air will operate these flights to the neighboring Oman,” Aminollah Solati was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
The official noted that Larestan International Airport plans to expand flights to Oman as well as other Persian Gulf littoral states.
“We have taken preliminary measures to begin air cargo transportation of around 15 tons per week from Larestan to neighboring countries, including Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE,” he added.
Larestan County is located 380 kilometers from Shiraz, the provincial capital of Fars Province.
