Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) announced on Saturday that the ICCIMA department for international affairs has plans to form an Iran-Tunisia joint committee on commerce in the near future.
The decision comes after the ICCIMA board of directors approved that such a joint committee has to be formed.
The announcement calls on those who have been active in business between Iran and Tunisia to fax their official request to ICCIMA for membership in the committee.
In a meeting with Tunisian Ambassador to Tehran Samir al-Mansar in February 2021, President of Iran Chamber of Commerce Gholam Hossein Shafei had urged the need for the formation of such a joint committee on commerce.
Shafei said that Despite the great economic potential that exists between the two countries, the amount of economic exchanges is very limited.
