Iran exported more than $7.4 billion worth of mining and mineral products in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 – October 22), official report says.
The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) announced on Saturday that the export of mining and mineral products from the country registered a 38 and 7.5 percent hike in weight and value respectively compared to the same period of last year.
Major domestic companies in the mining and mineral industrial sector exported more than 35 million tons of minerals, valued at more than $7.42 billion in the period under review, the report said.
In this period, Iran exported more than 6 million tons of steel products and over 175,000 tons of copper and downstream products to different world countries, it added.
IMIDRO noted that mining and mineral companies of the country had exported over 26 million tons of minerals, valued at more than $6 billion, from March 21 to October 22, 2022.
