Over 9.4 million tons of goods have been transited through the Iranian soil over the eight calendar months to November 21, official says.
Shahriar Afandizadeh, a deputy minister of road and urban development, said on Monday that the volume of goods transited through Iran in the eight-month period has posted a 28.2% rise compared to figures reported in last year’s corresponding period.
The official noted that the exports of oil and non-oil products through Iran in the March-November period indicate 48.7 and 20.8 percent increases respectively.
He added that more than 541,000 tons of goods has been transited through Iran in the calendar month of Aban (October 22 – November 21) which shows a 6.84% hike in comparison to the same month of last year.
