President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh says Iran has been using Romanian machinery for decades and is ready for more increased cooperation with the country on industrial machinery industry.

Hassanzadeh made the remarks in a meeting in Tehran on Sunday with Romanian Ambassador to Iran Mirela-Carmen Grecu.

The last session of Iran-Romania Joint Economic Commission dates back to 20 years ago, the Iran Chamber of Commerce president said, adding that Iran expects the commission to convene in Tehran at the earliest.

Noting that the prices of Iranian exports products are very competitive and in cases lower than that of their Chinese equivalents, Hassanzadeh said the ground has to be paved for more Iranian exports to Romania and more imports from the country.
