Iran has registered a 7% year-on-year rise in aluminum production in January-February 2024, according to a report by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The IMIDRO report cited on Wednesday by IRNA news agency said that aluminum ingot production in four main smelters in the country had reached 54,893 metric tons (mt) from January to February 2024.
The figure represents an increase of 7% compared to the same period of previous year.
In the first eleven months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023 – February 19, 2024), Iran’s aluminum ingot production reached 582,200 mt, marking a slight 0.5% growth (an increase of 2,700 mt) compared to last year’s corresponding period.
