Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has stressed that the key to solving the country’s economic problems lies in production.
Speaking in a televised address to the Iranian nation on the arrival of the Persian New Year known as Nowruz on Wednesday, the Supreme Leader hailed the coincidence of this occasion with the holy month of Ramadan.
Ayatollah Khamenei also congratulated all the other nations who celebrate Nowruz.
Underlining the significance of production to help the growth of the Iranian economy, the Supreme Leader named the Iranian year 1403 as “Surge in Production through People’s Participation.”
The main issue the country is facing again this year is the economy, Ayatollah Khamenei said, urging the need to be active in this field.
"After studying the opinions of the experts on this subject, I have come to this conclusion that the key to solving the country’s economic problems lies in production – domestic production, national production."
The Supreme Leader highlighted that the surge in production will not take place without the presence and participation of the people.
