Iran vice president underscores potentials of private sector

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber has stressed the significance of the country’s private sector, calling for its contribution to realizing the motto of the year presented last month by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber has stressed the significance of the country’s private sector, calling for its contribution to realizing the motto of the year presented last month by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The vice president made the call in his second meeting with the board members of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA).

Referring to the Supreme Leader’s naming the Persian New Year as the year of “surge in production through participation of the people”, Mokhber said that the country’s economy can only be saved through the management, and creativity of the people.

He believed that the chambers of commerce and cooperatives, with their knowledge of the economy and conditions of the market, can play a key role in prompting the presence of people in the economic sector.  

Mokhber welcomed a proposal by the private sector for offering vocational training to high school students which he said can ensure the training of a skillful generation in the future and job security in the country.

He also said that a working group is to be formed by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and Iran Chamber of Commerce to manage foreign exchange and covering the risks in this regard.
