Iran is set to inaugurate the Rasht-Caspian railway in northern country within the next few days, according to the Ministry of Road and Urban Development.
The railway which is a key part of the strategically significant International North-South Transit Corridor (INSTC), will be launched in a ceremony in presence of acting president Mohammad Mokhber.
The Rasht-Caspian railway is of special significance as it facilitates Iran’s trade exchanges with regional countries and Europe.
The 37km-long railway will join the Iranian southern ports to the ports in northern country.
