President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh has stressed that the views of the private sector operators have to be taken into account while drafting the country’s next year budget bill.
The issue of taxation has to be paid due attention as the production sector is under tough pressure of taxes, said Hassanzadeh during a meeting of the ICCIMA Board of Representatives in Tehran on Sunday which was participated by Hamid Pourmohammadi, the head of the country’s Plan and Budget Organization.
The private sector is also concerned about solving economic problems and removing the limitations affecting the Iranian production, industry and trade, Hassanzadeh said.

He also stressed that the forex rates for the new fiscal year have to be determined, warning that the fluctuations in the oil revenues must not be used as a pretext for unacceptable jumps in the forex rates. Hassanzadeh explained that unprecedented increases in forex rates over the past years have led to notable rises in raw material prices and a subsequent production and consumer inflation.
The Iran Chamber of Commerce president urged the need for the next year budget bill to allocate resources for offsetting the damage caused to industries by electricity and gas outages.
He also called for incentives to encourage investments in the country’s energy infrastructure so as to prevent the power outages in the coming years.
