Based on a report by the Research Center of the Iranian Parliament, the country’s auto output in the calendar month to October 21 has registered a 26.5% growth in comparison to that of the preceding year.
The increase was largely caused by easing restrictions on electricity supplies with the end of the peak demand season, according to the report
It also added that auto production in this month reflected a 9.1% surge compared to last year’s corresponding period.
Iran eyes an unprecedented 1.7 million car output for this annual year (due to end on March 20, 2025).
Iran pursues the ambitious plan while the Iranian automakers manufactured about 1.34 million vehicles over the past calendar year.
