Mohajerani stated that following comprehensive internal evaluations of the conditions and associated constraints for participating in the event, authorities decided to opt out.
She did not elaborate on the restrictions which have led to making this decision by Iran.
The World Expo 2025 is scheduled to open in Osaka, Japan on April 13, 2025 and will run for six months.
