President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has hailed Tajikistan’s trade potential for Iranian businesspeople, noting that the country provides a “strategic opportunity” for expansion of trade and investment.
Samad Hassanzadeh heads a trade delegation to Tajikistan simultaneous with a visit to the Central Asian country by President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Speaking to Iran Chamber of Commerce newsroom prior to his departure for Dushanbe, Hassanzadeh said that the visit to Tajikistan marks a significant point in further strengthening economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
He believed that the visit is of special importance as it can help bolster ties between Tehran and Dushanbe in different areas including, techno-engineering and exports of constructional, agricultural, and medical products.
The Iran Chamber of Commerce president said that Iran’s modern technologies and the competitive prices of its exports products are two key factors for establishing foothold in Tajikistan.
Hassanzadeh and Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism, Reza Salehi Amiri left Tehran for Dushanbe on Tuesday at the head of a trade delegation comprising chairpersons of some provincial chambers of commerce, heads of specialized commissions of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, and businesspeople active in the areas of techno-engineering, food industry, mining, agriculture, textile, pharmaceuticals, transportation, tourism, and telecommunications.
The Iranian delegation is scheduled to attend an Iran-Tajikistan Business Forum and hold specialized meetings with their Tajik counterparts.
