Iran Chamber of Commerce president leads trade delegation to Azerbaijan

A high-level Iranian business delegation, led by Samad Hassanzadeh, President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) departs Tehran for Baku on a three-day visit to Azerbaijan, coinciding with the official trip of Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian.

A high-level Iranian business delegation, led by Samad Hassanzadeh, President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) departs Tehran for Baku on a three-day visit to Azerbaijan, coinciding with the official trip of Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian.

The delegation, consisting of 120 business leaders from a variety of sectors including agriculture, industry, transportation, and mining, aims to foster closer trade relations between the two neighboring countries.

The business mission, organized by Iran Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to include a business forum between Iranian and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs. The event will take place on Monday and will feature speeches from the Presidents of both countries as well as the heads of the respective Chambers of Commerce.

The primary goal of the visit is to explore new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment, with a particular focus on Iran’s border provinces of West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Ardebil, and Gilan. Key sectors identified for growth and collaboration include food industries, agriculture, engineering services, transportation, mining, construction materials, petrochemicals, and polymers.

Accompanying Hassanzadeh on the mission are notable figures including Mohammad Nahavandian, former President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Hossein Pirmoazzen, Vice President of the Chamber, Abdollah Mohajer Darabi, and governors of the provinces of West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Ardebil, and Gilan.
