A senior Iranian business leader says that ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States have raised optimism about the future of the country’s non-oil exports and foreign investment climate.

Hossein Pirmoazzen, Vice President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), made the remarks during a visit to Iran Expo 2025 in Tehran on Wednesday.

“Given the resumption and continuation of talks between Iran and the US, there is growing hope in society that conditions for expanding exports and attracting investment will improve,” Pirmoazzen told reporters.

He said the recent diplomatic developments have sparked optimism within the Iranian private sector about a potential revival of the country’s foreign trade.

Highlighting the role of the chamber, Pirmoazzen reiterated that expanding non-oil exports remains one of ICCIMA’s key missions. “With signs that international pathways for Iran’s non-oil exports are opening up, we are hopeful that the negotiations will yield positive results,” he said.
